I'm going to assume that since the trailer is focusing on the "Mewthree" doing all sorts of move types, it's an evolution of Mew, instead of just a clone.

Manaphy can breed with Ditto and make a Phione which is kinda like evolving. But who knows how Mewtwotwo will appear.

And some of them are just really rare Pokemon like Latios and Latias. They don't have anything to do with splitting the ocean or anything.

Most of the legandaires are unnecessary. I'm not a genwunner. Instead of pulling a new legendary pokemon out of their asses Nintendo should just put the starters on the boxes or something...
