True, true... I'm just going to toss around a couple ideas I have for the setting.
Alright, so the world will not be dystopian, even if a game with a grand prize can fit into a dystopian society quite easily. No, it will be a normal world, neither utopia or dystopia.
Several different world leaders comes together to make a game. In this game, several different people and other beings have to compete in several simple to dangerous challenges. These can go from scaling a waterfall to being the victor in a deathmatch. This isn't broadcasted worldwide or anything, and is simply for the amusement for the world leaders.
The reward is a special item of some sort that grants the holder a single wish. Every character will have a wish that will be revealed as the story progresses.
This will be in a world that blends both medieval fantasy and science fiction. A world combined with magic and technology. A contestant may be a cyborg simian, and another is someone who can shape shift into a seal.
Everyone who is competing in this CHOSE to join. They were not forced to join at all. It was not randomly selected. There were simply auditions for the contestants, and the characters where chosen for they were the most interesting. Whether be it they had the best wish, or that they had some amazing skills and power.
So what do you guys think?

Okay, my character is named Gary-stu. I am the main guy and nothing bad ever happens to me, also everyone loves me. Did I mention I get booty from everyone? Yes even from the Pirates. My Super hot GF in comic is named Mary-sue.

So is there anyone that dislikes my idea? Or feel that they should add to it?

Well, I was thinking something more cosmic. A game played for reality itself. I'll post more later when I have more time/more concrete ideas.

I like how that post had no purpose other than to set yourself up as the only one seeing the truth and us being ignorant, thus gaining a sense of superiority. It provided no information, being not an attempt at communication but rather a way to gain personal satisfaction. <3

So, I know it's probably too early to go into details like this, but what if we included main characters from past or present UAs as small or one-note characters here and there throughout the course of the story?

Maybe as Easter Eggs at the least. But I do like the idea of some of our characters appearing in the story, just not having all that much effect to the story.

We've all spoke about it from video game to comic and nothing got done. I just don't see what's going to be different about this attempt. Maybe we have extra motivation to "save our forum" but I still don't imagine anything coming out in the end.

I don't imagine it saving anything, but it'll still be fun. The video game was an impossibility from the start, seeing that practically none of us have any experience with coding or designing, but a comic is a whole 'nother ball park. One we can actually reach.

So Viempth, if I may ask...
What is this huge idea you had that you've been procastinating on telling us?

Well, I've been 'procrastinating' mainly because I'm still working it out! (also I suddenly have several drawings, essays and speeches with close deadlines) The set of ideas is really vague still, but I've been thinking that I might draw a thing that sort of fits them? Like, even if I can't quantify the rules exactly I might be able to give examples of things that should exist within them, at least a little? Anyway the ideas sort of revolve around games? Or a game? A game played between the forces of creation and destruction. They're inspired a lot by Paranatural, Homestuck, Eddie, Twenty-Five, and a bunch of other things (Cucumber Quest??? Paper Mario? Steven Universe just a bit?!?!?!?? I think there might be some PMMM in its family tree somewhere?? Actually yeah there totally is. The more I think about it the more I realize just how much. Liking PMMM is suffering.) It is difficult to explain, especially given that, as I said before, the rules of the setting aren't a definite thing yet! But of course, I know that it's pointless to sit around hoping that a perfectly formed universe will just appear in my head, so I'm going to brainstorm with drawings and post them and then we can work it out together hopefully. But yeah I definitely intend to put stuff here this weekend! Getting work done comes first though. :/
