Donnella: Are you okay!?Aeron groans again in response. You can hear that she's having trouble breathing, too. The sooner you can get her some medical attention, the better.   But first you'll need to find a way to get these off. So i kind of want to take a moment to talk/ask about something that's on my mind a lot- reader (player?) choice. I try to have a lot of it! I had no idea, for example, how this encounter in the forest would end. I knew essentially what each character wanted but I didn't actually plan it out or try to steer it towards one thing or another. I was really surprised at how it happened. But I want to know if this gets across. Does it feel like the story is railroading you? Feedback is always very welcome! |

  You don't know how to do first aid! Ironically, Aeron does, but you don't have any materials anyway. Maybe a little bit. I didn't really know what our options were so it sorta felt like a no-win scenario. Hence the divine intervention. :P While, I suppose the main choice there was whether to risk going with Cyan (what I was kind of expecting for a while there tbh) or to risk running/fighting. Of course, either of those two paths could then go in any number of ways. It was definitely kind of a no-win scenario but how that situation was navigated really affected the 'plot' (or at least, the situation is different now, obviously there isn't actually a plot or plan in the traditional sense). This is definitely something for me to work on, I guess. |
