I watched the second episode of Gurren Lagann and it was pretty good. But I watched all 25 episodes of Sword Art Online and it was amazing. It was by no mean's perfect and objectively somethings are probably better, but it may be one of the first things ever to make me feel "giddy". Emotions of pure joy at watching the series and I smiled so many times. Smiles. Seriously.
This probably is damning it with unreasonable expectations if you decide to watch it. I just wanted to say I liked it.
