Not just yet!
You are the larval form of Your Species. This Species, it should be noted, is too primitive yet to have a name. When your old colony was destroyed, you and your hatchmates fled to new territory. Of course, this is where we hit a bit of a snag. You can't flee from much of anywhere without existing first!
--Welcome to Tiny Worlds, an all new WDYDFA (What Do You Do Forums Adventure, as I have chosen to call any adventures arising from this new site)! Here, each and every reader may create a single character, but these characters are then released out to be controlled in the Adventure. The character creation process will be split up into several steps. This is the first. Here you will choose a gender and assign a single point to one of your three stats. These stats are Will, Sense, and Might.--
Will is the ability to act without thought or hesitation, and the power of courage. Increasing Will results in higher confidence, chance to resist disease and wounds, and greater capacity to continue through adversity. Will tempers Sense and Might through activity.
Sense is the ability to judge what is true or right, and the power of foresight. Increasing Sense allows greater ability to consider actions prior to taking them, predict outcomes, and see multiple points of view. Sense tempers Might and Will with discretion.
Might is the ability to enforce your rule and desires, and the power of endurance. Increasing Might results in larger muscle mass, a more commanding nature, and higher toughness. Might tempers Sense and Will with potency.
--You'll also have to come up with a name for your critter. Something basic and monosyllabic like Gar or Lif or Noum. Try to convey something about them via the emotions that the sound of the name creates. And if you're confused by the stats, try to think of them as the three virtues of the Triforce but without fun magic.--
A few quick notes on This Species, to be expanded upon later:
This Species consumes primarily honey, which is a very rare and valuable resource. They are quite primitive, only now developing basic tool use. Not having a true language, basic thoughts and emotions are expressed through a few calls. This Species is even too early to have given itself a name! This Species has a complex life cycle involving a winged larval state and special courtship rituals. This Species has no reproductive systems as we understand them, instead undergoing a series of highly mysterious rituals involving certain kinds of a crystal and lots of flashing lights. This Species does have two genders, indicated by eye color. Mating is only possible between these two binary genders (obviously) but other sexualities do exist. Due to scarcity of precious honey, heavier mates are rare and prized, increased weight representing better ability to obtain honey, and thus a gauge of health and skill. This Species is great in diversity of color and shape, with many genetic quirks.
Please note that This Species is not in fact at the top of the food chain.
--I kind of felt like an all new adventure and an all new name for them, originating completely from this site, might help inject some life back into the place! So here I go.--
