Buy two doublapples, but while you're there, grab some pinapples and blue apples.

Buy three apples! They are very good weapons against dentist. You decide to stick with a nice vintage apple for the first, but you hesitate before buying more. You aren't sure if you want a gem of some kind instead. What you decide to take with you could heavily impact your adventure, so this is a really important choice, and you don't want to waste your limited funds. But then again... why SHOULD you be limited by how much money you have when you could just kind of reach over and steal it? The apple vendor seemed like he might not even care, and the woman running the apothecary was very distracted. The blacksmith would be harder to get by but you might be able to make it work. Sandra would have magical protection way beyond your level, but you could maybe be able to rob the other stores. Of course there are many, many guards to watch out for as well... What will you do now?

Make a distraction, using yourself to lure attention away from yourself while you rob everyone blind. Or be a good upstanding citizen and buy those jams. Ladies love jams.

Find whatever is the best way to rob everything. Well okay, if you are really going through with this... You decide that first you ought to get a better sense of the area This is what the basic layout of the plaza area looks like. Going North along the main street leads out of the city, going South leads to the palace and administrative district. You check out the Apothecary first. You recall that on the inside is a door leading to a second room. Unusually for this city, it's an actual wooden door rather than a curtain of cloth or beads. The main entrance to the shop has bells woven into its threads to let the shopkeeper know someone entered. The second floor is presumably the shopkeeper's home, accessible via the second room on the first floor. Probably. You also make a rough map of the internal layout, marking where the SWEET LOOT is located. The fruit stall is next, blocking the alleyway between an inn and a clothing store. Which... seems really rude? You can't actually see much, but behind the wall are rows and rows of crates. Do they all have more apples? That is a simply preposterous number of apples and assorted fruit with apple-derived names. Well snooping around the blacksmith's, you find the passage for the lava from his magma forge to flow out of the building. The gate is locked, but you could probably blast the lock off if you needed to escape through it. Again, you make a rough map of the shop's interior. You also go around and figure out the layout of side-streets and alleyways in the region. So, what'll your plan of attack be?

Shoplift a second set of clothes from the clothing store, as a disguise for when you work the heist. The store right next to you is fairly well off, so the owner sells everything out of their inventory and the few clothes on display are watched carefully. No way you could steal anything unnoticed. A less fortunate vendor on the busy streets is a different matter. First you wait until the man is distracted by another customer. Then, pretending to examine a hat, you use it to hide the fact that you've grabbed a second hat and slipped it into your inventory. You also consolidate everything else you have into the tote bag and inventorize that to make room. You then put the first hat back and quickly leave unnoticed. After pulling similar moves on several more oblivious clothing stalls you complete your kickass disguise! You're back and ready for thievin'!
