Let's talk about the forum. Serious Discussion. We are kind of letting this spiral out. Most of the posts and new threads are either jokes, someone not happy, or they are not being taken seriously. This is the main reason I am no longer addicted to this site and mostly keep showing up because I know you guys. No one has posted art except 2hats for (I believe) a couple weeks. There is one UA that is going on, and I don't know where that's gonna be in a few weeks. We haven't discussed anything in a long time without it turning into the biggest joke of the week. And at least one thread has had to change topics. There is a serious lack of respect and community going around. This may sound dumb, but I have often referred to us as a "family", although I haven't for a while now. This is not the forum I signed up for. Can we please, PLEASE, try to get it together a little bit? I miss how much FUN we all used to have. I miss feeling able to talk to you guys all the time about anything. And I am really starting to miss you guys. I know I am also at fault, but can we please try to fix this together? And if you guys don't take me seriously on this, you may not see me again until next summer. I mean it, I am about to start my senior year of high school, I will be busy. I would really like a reason to come back again. Please you guys. I have never made a more serious post. ~Pemi

I was literally going to make a thread just like this. I feel so much the same way, and in fact am drawing a new UA right at this very instant. The photoshop window is showing me a blue apple as I type. I just wish I knew how to help revive the forum

We don't have something to keep us coming here though.
While I want to be supportive towards 2hats, his melodramatic spiral of depression leaves me baffled. Is he really super depressed? Because most of the time it seems like a really terrible joke.
Most of the time now a days I talk to you to guys over Steam. If you wanted us to start posting again, then we need something to actually talk about. I mean I could post tons of stupid shit about what I've been doing recently, but none of you would care.
I mean I don't even play many video games. My computer sucks. I gave up on becoming an artist.
Really, I do miss WDYD. But the thing is that we should not mourn what we lost, but remember the good times we had.

It's the comic. The comic was actually helping us stick together. Now it's not that we all actually avidly followed the comic, but it was the glue that kept us together. Once I knew the comic was over, the first thing that popped into my head was not "What will happen to the comic?" or "Why has Chris stopped?". No, it was "I wonder if the community will stick together...". The comic has had ads, which helped attract others onto the site, and gave us new, intereting members. The new members also helped us keep together, becuase they were so excited to join a new forum and wants to give us our all. So both the comic, and the new members were what was keeping us together. Without both of those things, we are a dieing community.
We need to do something that will attract the attention of others. Something that can bring new members. Something we can all work together on to keep us together again.

I could of sworn I already brought this up.
Anyway, the refugee camp was always a temporary solution to this problem. I was trying to purchase the site, but almost every time I talked to Chris about the domain name I was stonewalled, and eventually gave up.
Here are my ideas for the future:
1. Create the game we were talking about at the start of this "adventure". We can then make a site with a steady influx of newbies. 2. Join another moderately popular forum en masse, keeping this site to coordinate ourselves and make snide remarks about the others.

But now, we're merely the WDYD Memorial forums. And of course, without new members, we fall into stagnation. But I think that to retain new members in the first place, we need a new focus somehow. I doubt that we can simply have a free floating forums without any ties. So not only do we need advertisement, we more importantly require a new Thing to focus on. So pretty much what you said.

We could all chip in for a new site, maybe bully Reilly into webmastering for us, then all make our own comic strips and upload them. It could be a piecemeal story, as in, a different person would write the next strip each time (and we would have a writer's cycle), or it could just be a series of one-off strips, like most newspaper comics. Y'know, stuff like this thing I did a long time ago:

Tales from the WDYDverse?
I think that's an interesting idea, but I'm not sure if it would work...

Once I get the proper materials to make comics (I have a tablet, but no photoshop), I would gladly make a little mini series.
